Hello Local Abolitionists!

It’s been a while since our first event in November where we screened the film “At the End of Slavery” in the Oak Park Conservatory. Here is what is going on in early 2010 and how you can help us in this important cause.

1. Martin Luther King Jr. Day – January 18th from 6:30 – 8:00 pm. We are holding another screening of “At the End of Slavery” at the Oak Park Public Library. You can find more info about the event here: www.localabolitionists.org and you can RSVP here: www.localabolitionists.org/rsvp

We’re asking you to join us, to spread the word, and to bring your friends, neighbors, and folks from your church or community groups.

2. We are on Facebook. The Local Abolitionists have a Fan Page now: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Local-Abolitionists/222093546525 Facebook is a great way to stay up to date with what we are doing and a great way to share us with your friends. Please become a “fan” and then share our fan page with others in the area who you think would resonate with our cause.

Thank you for partnering with us on this cause, and we hope to see you on January 18th!
